...The angrier I get with TF2. I'm sorry, but after the whole shock of the movie not even feeling like the first one, which is ALL I wanted, I started to really pick apart the movie.
I never wanted an epic movie, it's just Transformers. But I wanted good characters and robots blowing stuff up.
Ugh I'm so mad.
Probably not as mad as others, since they read the interviews and such(I wanted to avoid spoilers) but what I DID hear, I was so pissed at the lies. Just...GAH.
What they did with Arcee STILL pisses me off, after all the 'we can't explain females yet' they STILL don't in the movie...GAH! GAH!!!

I don't agree with everything, like how we don't want to see humans with the transformers...I LOVE that about Transformers. Or the fact that he doesn't like the first one. I like the first one.
But just about everything else...GAH!

And what they did with Arcee is, to me, a clear indication of how much they actually care about it. They kept her out of the first one for the reason you said. Then this one they just shoved her in as filler and just as quickly removed her.

I don't think he quite understand that in the original cartoon, the Transformers were actually people. Humans were there too, sure, but the Transformers were usually as much or more fleshed out (lol) than the humans. Here they're comic relief or deliverers of explosions, and they have no real personality at all. It's like he wrote the human part as serious, and then wrote the robot part for the kids--and didn't get why kids liked Transformers in the first place.
My two favorite parts were Megatron and Starscream on...whereever the Fallen was hanging out and Jetfire. Why? Because we actually got some decent character development for the robots.
There's just so...SO much I was angry with. There's only a few, little moments that were more like the first movie.
For as long as that movie is, it's amazing how almost NO character development is there.
